Authorised User Renewals
An invitation to renew your Rottnest authorised user and annual admission application has been posted for the 2018/2019 season, including the Shared Mooring System (SMS) colour coded casual access.
Your current sticker expires 31 August so for your application to remain valid your completed renewal must be received before 31 August 2018. Once you have submitted the completed renewal, you may continue to use your current sticker until your new sticker is issued. Important information is also enclosed on the Supplementary Information.
TO RENEW your Authorised User application, return your:
- SIGNED DECLARATION
- REGISTRATION CERTIFICATE – a current copy showing vessel length and your name as owner. You’ll need to provide this for each vessel if the expiry date shown on the enclosed summary has expired. If you have purchased a new vessel, attach a full copy confirming new vessel length and your name as an owner.
- INSURANCE DOCUMENTS – a current copy confirming vessel’s adequate cover and date of expiry.The current regulated adequate insurance for all vessels entering Rottnest Reserve: for vessels 6.4m and greater is $10 million third party legal liability, and for vessels less than 6.4m $5 million.
- UPDATES to your personal details on the enclosed summary, as applicable.
Once you have renewed: Once you have completed your renewal and the payment has been processed, you may continue to use last season’s sticker until the new sticker is posted. This can take up to four weeks during our renewal period.
Remember that all Authorised Users must contact the mooring Licensee prior to use to check availability, and Licensees always have priority use of their own site. A summary of your authorised user sites and the contact details for each mooring Licensee will be posted with your sticker.
Stickers: if you sell your vessel, all stickers must be returned to our office for auditing purposes.
Lost and damaged stickers will incur a $22.50 administration fee for replacement.
If you have sold your boat:
Please advise the RIA in writing on the renewal documents and attach the new vessel registration showing vessel length and your name as an owner, and the insurance certificate. Fees will be adjusted to match the new vessel length and mooring sites retained only for those sites that are suitable.
If you do renew: if your completed renewal is not received by 31 August 2018 then your application and the use of those moorings will be automatically cancelled. However, if you do not wish to renew please let us know by email, phone or by completing the appropriate section on the declaration as soon as possible.
Once cancelled, if you wish to reapply later in the season you will need to complete a new Authorised User Application form and obtain any Licensee signatures again, as applicable. Allow a minimum of 10 business days for processing new applications.
To change to Annual Admission only please tick the appropriate box on the declaration and forward the admission fee payment only, as well as the vessel’s documentation as listed above. Paying the admission fee allows you to anchor in the appropriate areas, or pre-book public hire moorings or jetty pens in Geordie, Longreach and Thomson Bays.
Please note: paying Annual Admission only does not allow use of private moorings or the SMS colour coded access. Alternatively daily admission fees can be paid online or on arrival at the Visitor Centre on arrival ($18.50 per adult or $24.50 extended stay).
