Fringe World is coming to Rottnest Island this February 2017! 

Music and kids entertainment will get those summer vibes going on the Island on the 4th and 5th of February 2017. Fringe World Rottnest will showcase an array of entertaining acts for the whole family to enjoy, it will be hosted at the iconic Picture Hall just a short walk from the ferry jetty in the main settlement area. This venue has been operating as an entertainment setting since the 1930's. Vintage deck chair seating with on-site bar and snack facilities are available.

ACT ONE: Funtastico! Starring Pierre Ulric

3pm until 4pm, Saturday 4th Feb and Sunday 5th Feb

DURATION: 55 minutes

SYNOPSIS: ABSOLUTELY NOT TO BE MISSED - Dynamic and interactive magic for the entire family, by award winning Mystery Performer Pierre Ulric. An entertaining and educational show integrating magic, storytelling and science. Young and old are taken on an amazing journey through the history of the world.

ACT TWO:  ‘A Boy Named Cash’ Johnny Cash Tribute Show starring Monty Cotton


7pm until 8pm Saturday 4th and Sunday 5th Feb

DURATION: 55 minutes

SYNOPSIS: Monty Cotton, a seasoned performer and musician woke up one day and realised he could imitate Johnny Cash. From this point on Monty has performed as Johnny Cash all around Australia and the UK including pubs, clubs, arts festivals, mine sites, corporate functions, breakfast radio, morning television, and 'The Voice' Australia. A Boy Named Cash - Johnny Cash Tribute Show showcases the greatest hits of The Man In Black as performed by Monty Cotton as a one-man-band alongside a variety of pedals and instruments - no ordinary solo show - See it to believe it! Monty’s style comprises his signature low voice and contrasting ability to belt out pub rock classics covering all style variations; Rock & Roll, Pop, RnB, Country, Blues, Soul, Celtic, and Folk to name a few!

ACT THREE:  Tribute to Freddie Mercury and Queen, starring Thomas Crane

SYNOPSIS: Since making the finals of Australia’s Got Talent in 2011, Thomas’s career has taken him around the world, touring with his band Bohemian Rhapsody, playing the best of Queen and Freddie Mercury.There are many tribute bands around the world but Thomas Crane is acclaimed as the closest thing to Freddie Mercury and with over one million hits, YouTube fans can’t be wrong!
