New experiences on Rottnest Island
There are even more memories to be made on Rottnest Island with eight new tours and activities this summer.
New experiences include flight options to travel to the Island, sunset cruises, water sports, catering and shopping.
All of these are available now on Rottnest Island to make your visit even better!
Daily Seaplane Commute
Travel to the Island in a state-of-the-art Cessna turbo-prop seaplane with Rottnest Air Express, operating several daily departures from the Swan River. Flight time is 15 minutes and includes views of the coastal surrounds of Perth.
Skydive and Transfer Package
Fly from the mainland via Jandakot Airport and skydive onto Rottnest Island with Skydive Geronimo. After landing on the beach, you can then spend the day enjoying the Island and return by ferry.
Choose from two new cruises that highlight the beautiful sunset over the Indian Ocean, departing from Rottnest Island. Sail around the surrounding bays on the 12.5m catamaran from Charter 1 with a glass of bubbles and antipasto, or choose Rottnest Cruises and enjoy all beverages alongside seafood canapes and the chance to throw a line in to fish while on board the 69ft boat.
Head out to the bays around Rottnest Island and explore the underwater world with Charter 1. On this new tour, you can snorkel, kayak, SUP and ride in the huge cargo net of the 12.5m catamaran. All snorkelling equipment is included.
Refreshments at the West End
You can now head out to the West End of Rottnest Island and stay hydrated while viewing its rugged coastline and year-round population of New Zealand Fur Seals. For the first time, food and drink including snacks and hot and cold beverages are available to buy here thanks to Lexi's, the vintage caravan.
New Shop and Concierge Service
The Salt Store is your new one-stop shop to find out more about the recreational and dining opportunities on offer on the Island. Located in the Main Settlement, this new hub is open every day to book tours and purchase high-quality, locally made products that showcase the talent of Western Australian artists and artisans.
Aquaplay has taken over the North Thomson Bay area of Rottnest Island to provide one-hour sea-bike tours, pedal-board and stand-up paddle board hire and a Kids Zone with giant inflatable water-rollers and inflatable jet skis.
