Domestic Commercial Vessel (DCV) Permit

All domestic commercial vessel (DCV) operators must register the details of each trip via the Rottnest Charter Log via phone prior to arrival on 1300 724 093 or +61 8 9771 6186.

Admission fees also apply for all passengers (not crew) carried to the island. Payment of the admission fees allows you to anchor or pre-book public rental facilities either online or by contacting Rottnest Reservations on 1800 111 111, between 8:30am and 5pm AWST, Monday to Friday. It does not allow use of any mooring in the Shared Mooring System or the colour coded casual access.

Please refer to the current Rottnest Island Marine & Boating Guide (PDF 1.95MB) for further information including the Rottnest Island Authority Regulations and Fishing Guidelines.

The Domestic Commercial Vessel Annual Permit is available to DCVs on payment of an annual permit fee who wish to enter the Rottnest Island Marine Reserve, with reduced additional admission fees payable based on passenger numbers for the 2020/21 season.

Please refer to the below pricing as a guide for DCV Permit holders:

It is the responsibility of all DCVs to collect admission fees from their passengers on behalf of the Rottnest Island Authority and remit these fees. Failure to do so may incur a $200 infringement.

DCV operators using their vessel privately must still register their visit with the RIA. Full admission fees are payable by all persons onboard the vessel unless the vessel has been issued with a Licensee, Authorised Users or Annual Admission sticker. Fees can be paid online here.

Those without a DCV permit are required to pay single visit fees prior to arrival online or by phoning Rottnest Island Reservations on 1800 111 111, between 8:30am and 5pm, Monday to Friday, or upon arrival on the Island at the Visitor Centre. View the single visit admission fees here.
