COVID Safe Advice for Overnight Stays

Rottnest Island Authority Accommodation

It is a prerequisite for guests checking in at the Visitor Centre to register their details for the purposes of contact tracing. This can be done by scanning the unique QR code using the SafeWA app, ServiceWA app or by entering details on a written register.

All guests staying in the accommodation will need to register their contact details during their stay. Please follow the instructions on your in-room signage. QR codes are located inside the accommodation. For campsites, QR codes are located in the communal kitchen facilities.

Alternatively, registration can be completed on the written register at the Visitor Centre.

Proof of vaccination or a medical exemption is not required for guests staying in Rottnest Island Authority accommodation.

Hotels, Resorts and other Accommodation

All accommodation providers on Rottnest Island are required to comply with government requirements.

If you are currently staying at or have booked accommodation at Discovery Rottnest Island, Samphire Rottnest or Karma Rottnest, please follow all instructions provided to you.

Expanded proof of vaccination requirements from 31 January:

The State Government has announced new proof of vaccination requirements across WA from Monday 31 January 2022.

Proof of vaccination or a medical exemption may also be required to stay at or enter the licenced accommodation venues. For further information, please check with your accommodation provider when making your booking and prior to travel.
