Little Quokka’s Big Birthday Weekend

Celebrate the joy of a new brood of quokka joeys over two big days in September.

Details
  • 14 & 15 September
  • 9 am – 3pm

Celebrate the wonder of nature and new life on Wadjemup / Rottnest Island with a weekend program of workshops, activities and festivities for the whole family.

The Noongar season of Djilba is known as first spring on the island, a transitional time where the weather is warming up and wildlife thrive on an abundance of seeds and berries. Following the winter months, the island landscape comes to life; trees begin to flower, birds roam the skies and quokka joeys peek out from their mother’s pouches.

There will be a program packed with live entertainment, sensory play, art and craft activities, photography workshops, eco education and more.

Little children aged 5-12 years can also receive an exclusive Rottnest Island Nature Play book on arrival when they present their event ticket. Stocks are limited so you’ll need to register soon.

Come and join the celebrations on Saturday 14 and Sunday 15 September 2024. This event is free but registration is required.
