If you love seafood, golden sunsets or have always wanted to try your hand at fishing, a tour with Rottnest Cruises is a unique experience you will long remember.

Departing from Thomson Bay Fuel Jetty on a premium 69-ft boat, each cruise is fully inclusive. All you need to bring is your camera ... and spirit of adventure!

Deluxe 5-Course Sea-to-Plate Banquet

For lovers of seafood, the ‘Wild Seafood Experience’ is a 3-hour catch-and-dine lunch cruise, giving you the chance to catch your very own Western Rock Lobster (‘crayfish’). Rottnest Island is part of the best fishery in the world and this famous species lives in abundance in our crystal waters.

Led by expert crew, you can haul in lobster pots to catch, touch and learn about this most delicious delicacy. Then, sit back and take in stunning views of Rottnest’s coastline while your lobster is cooked for you on board.

Your catch is served as the centrepiece of a 5-course feast of fresh seafood. Lunch is paired with complimentary still and sparkling Howard Park wines, beer and soft drinks. You may even like to enjoy a swim, snorkel or fish while the boat moors in a calm blue Island bay.

Packages are available for a full day on the Island, with ferry transfers included.

Hooked on Rotto

Experience a favourite Rottnest pastime - fishing. ‘Hooked on Rotto’ is a fun catch-and-keep fishing tour, perfect for kids and families, plus occasional anglers or anyone learning to fish.

This 2-hour trip cruises along calm coastal waters in search of the day’s perfect fishing spot. The boat anchors in beautiful bay, where you can cast a line to fish for some of WA’s best-known nearshore species, such as Herring and Whiting.

Keep what you catch and even have it filleted to take away with you. Absolutely no fishing experience is necessary, with training and guidance provided by Rottnest Cruises’ expert crew. Equipment, tackle and bait are supplied. Tour includes complimentary coffee, tea and water, or you are welcome to BYO.

Cast & Cruise Sundowner

Soak up the magic of a golden Rottnest sunset on board a relaxed 2-hour ‘Cast & Cruise Sundowner’.

Enjoy free-flowing beverages and relax to admire stunning scenery, including Bathurst Lighthouse, Pinky’s Beach and Longreach or Parakeet Bay. Dine on seafood canapes prepared by an onboard chef, featuring fresh local seafood.

While at anchor in one of the Island’s calm bays, you may even like to throw in a line to fish. Finish with a picture-perfect view of sunset skies.

Rottnest Island Glass Bottom Sea Kayaking Tours

Experience Rottnest’s pristine, crystal waters from above and below on a glass bottom sea kayaking tour.

Your tour will start at Pinky Beach, which is a short 10-minute walk from the Main Settlement.

The clear floored kayaks also offer our guests a window into the world below. See colourful marine life, coral, and fascinating reef formations whilst staying (relatively) high and dry.
The tours are not hard core, wave riding, survival tours. Rather they about taking time to take in the wonders that you can see between your legs! They are suitable for ages 6 and above. Guests will be provided with a PFD (lifejacket) so you do not need to be a strong swimmer. It is rare for guests to fall in, but you should expect to get a bit wet.

Tours are 1 hour and 15 minutes long, with roughly 1 hour on the water and time for a safety briefing. Prices start at $39 for Kids, $49 for Adults and Family Passes available.

To book your tour visit Rottnest Kayak or visit the Rottnest Island Visitors Centre.  Bookings are now open and the season will run from 14th December 2019 until 27th April 2020.
