Once known as Lomas Cottage, the building was constructed in 1871 for ex-convict John Lomas. Today, it stands as a space to ignite curiosity and understanding as you wander through the heritage structure.

Fascinating audio accounts offer a unique opportunity to peer into the past, while carefully preserved artefacts allow visitors to relive surprising stories.
View the statue of James Egan ‘Always Was, Always Will Be’ in Heritage Common and reflect upon the history of Western Australian coastline, which has provided for Noongar peoples and supported survival.
