Rottnest Bakery

No trip to Rottnest Island is complete without a visit to the Rottnest Bakery.

The Summer Season is Here
It’s the most popular time to visit so please be patient or have a few options in mind should you meet a few other hungry crowds at your preferred venue when you arrive.

A Rottnest icon, the bakery offers an assortment of fresh flavours and old school favourites, from sausage rolls and meat pies to delicious bakery sweet treats like vanilla slice, cream buns and jam doughnuts. It's a must for every island visit.

Rottnest Bakery also offers a range of fresh sandwiches, ideal for throwing in your backpack to enjoy, feet in the sand, at one of the beaches further from the Settlement.

Over for an extended stay on the island? Pop in to pick up a loaf of the 100% sourdough for breakfast and take your pick from a number of tasty additions for that cheese platter at sunset.

Cold drinks, hot coffee and ice-cream are also available — the perfect post-swim treats to enjoy in the alfresco area overlooking the bustling mall. Or enjoy an affordable delicious family meal of chicken, chips and salad from the Bakery's Chook Shack window.

Where to find the Rottnest Bakery

The bakery is located in the main mall of the Thomson Bay settlement, just a few minutes' walk from the main jetty.

For everyone’s safety, please dismount your bike before entering the mall.

The Summer Season is Here
It’s the most popular time to visit but a little bit of planning goes a long way. Arrive early to secure parking before your ferry and book tours and restaurants in advance.
