SeaLink Rottnest’s ferries regularly depart from an accessible location at B Shed, Victoria Quay in Fremantle and from Barrack Street Jetty in Perth every day of the year, except for Christmas Day.

Service dogs are also permitted on all ferry services, however, please contact the Rottnest Island rangers on (+61 8) 9372 9788 prior to travel as the island is a protected Class A Reserve.

Ferries arrive at the main jetty in Thomson Bay, which is a few hundred metres from the Visitor Centre, and a few minutes walk by foot or bike to other island amenities.

When you travel with SeaLink Rottnest, you can get to the island in approximately 30 minutes from Fremantle, or 90 minutes from Perth’s city centre.
It is highly recommended to book online in advance to secure your seats. In peak times, including summer months, weekends and school holidays, tickets can sell out quickly.
Tickets may be available on the day prior to departure, subject to availability.
SeaLink Rottnest ferry services depart from B Shed Victoria Quay, Fremantle and Barrack St Jetty, Perth.

This fee is collected by ferry operators on behalf of the Rottnest Island Authority and contributes to the provision of island facilities.

All visitors are required to pay an admission fee. Visitors arriving by ferry pay this fee as part of their fare at the time of booking.
